For those newbie's, the awards are given to those editors who have made extraordinary contributions to the success of Open-Site. Editors are nominated for all major sections of the encyclopedia in either 'Best New Editor' or 'Best Editor'. Special achievement awards are also given to those editors who possess special qualities in their editing.

You should have plenty of time to clean up your cats and get them in top order before the nominations begins. Also you will have time to also start reviewing other categories for possible inclusions into the awards.

Anybody (even those with zero edits) can nominate, be nominated, and vote. We encourage everyone to suggest nominations and vote.
