Project Stub

At the start of May, the Open Site Encyclopedia was plagued with emptiness. While some areas of the encyclopedia had deep and comprehensive coverage, many topics were totally ignored and had no place in the encyclopedia.

Some top level categories were full of empty subcategories, such as Society and Recreation. Others, like Computers, only had a few second level categories which made Open Site look particularly empty.

That was my inspiration for starting Project Stub. The purpose is to provide topics with a base upon which they can be grown by a dedicated editor. No topic is too big or small to be stubbed.

Many top level categories now have direct content, most existing empty second level categories have been filled and second level categories at ODP that were missing from Open Site have now been covered.

I have dedicated a large proportion of my editing to this project over the last two months. With the dedicated contribution of roschler, berk and others, the official stub count stands at over 165 stubs!
