A relatively new sport, Wake boarding combines different techniques from skiing, snowboarding, and surfing. Wake boarding maneuvers include back rolls, front rolls, butter slides, air raleys, among others. Considered as a very dynamic water sport, wake boarders can do all sort of maneuvers as they are being dragged either by a moving watercraft or a cable system.
Wake boarding involves riding a single board while holding onto a control bar connected to the towing system. Boards have straps where the feet can be attached. Boards come in various lengths. Therefore, wake boarders should choose the correct board length for them. Beginners can start off with boards that have square edges, while the experienced ones can use boards with rounded edges.
