General Information


ITF stands for "International Tennis Federation" and it is the governing body of tennis: it is composed by 202 National Associations and 6 Regional Associations.

Tournaments Organization


ITF mainly organizes international team tournaments, such as Davis Cup (male) and Fed Cup (female).

However, the most important tournaments, the four Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon (The Championships), US Open), are organized by the ITF (ITF is in the Grand Slam Committee).
In addition, are ITF's official Championships the Japan Open, the Italian Championships, the International Championships of Spain, the Swiss Open and the German Open.

ITF also is also involved with ATP Challenger tournaments (ITF Men's Circuit) and WTA minor tournaments (ITF Women's Circuit).
