Referee

Two referees in each game call all penalties, goals, and are authorized to stop play due to a rule violation.

Rink

Usually refers to the entire game playing area, including the ice, the boards, and the glass. For regulation hockey games, the rink must measure 200 feet by 85 feet. Often, hockey teams will share a rink with other ice sports, although not simultaneously.
