Assist

A pass or two passes which immediately precede a goal being scored.

The attacking zone is the area between the opponents' blue line and their goal.

The Adams Division along with Patrick Division made up the Wales Conference through the 1992-93 season. After that, it was renamed to Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference.

All-Star Game

A mid-season exhibition game between stars from North America against stars from the rest of the world. From 1969 to 1997, the All-Star Game consisted of members from each of the NHL's two conferences.
