The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim trade Oleg along with Chad Kilger and their 3rd round pick (Per-Anton Lundstrom) in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft to the Winnipeg Jets for Teemu Selanne, Marc Chouinard and the Jets 4th round pick (later traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs and later traded to the Montreal Canadiens who chose Kim Staal) in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
