Home Run

A type of score that allows the offensive player to navigate all bases and home plate with one hit. Usually this is a hit that is batted over the outfield wall in fair territory. Less common is an inside-the-park home run where the ball does not go over the outfield wall and the runner navigates all bases in one continious action. A home run is also known as a homer.
