Coors Field

Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, is located in Denver, Colorado at an elevation of 5200 feet above sea level. The stadium was built at a cost of 215 million dollars.

The stadium is most noted for being a hitter's park and allowing batters to hit, on average, more home runs than anywhere else in the Major Leagues.

The baseball park is located at the highest elevation amongst all ball parks. The altitude of the stadium provides the batter with the advantage because the atmosphere is thinner. The thinner atmosphere allows the balls to travel further in comparision to ballparks at lower elevations.

In 1999, the Rockies set a Major League record by hitting 303 home runs.
