Overview

College baseball consists of over 100 universities in Division I all competing for the College World Series Championship.

College baseball has a different standard for their bats compared to the MLB. In college they use aluminum bats compared to the wooden bats of the MLB. However, the aluminum bats have to meet certain standards. The weight of the bat can only be three ounces less then the length and it must be BESR certified. BESR stands for ball exit speed ratio.

This years season kicks off in January and concludes in June with the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
