Sexual Morality and Evolution

From an evolutionary perspective, humans have evolved primitive sexual behaviors (some unpleasant) - but we have also evolved a social / moral instinct. e.g. To care and help others, to work together and not cause harm.

Evolution can be applied to human sexual morality in two distinct ways.
1. Our biological sexuality (what is 'normal' human sexual behaviour). Studies suggest that Humans are very adaptable creatures, and that there are in fact many diverse sexual behaviours that can be considered normal.
2. Our cultural evolution and the resultant socially accepted / legal sexual behaviours that exist in our present culture.

Thus evolutionary philosophy suggests that humans have evolved a diversity of sexual behaviours that are all 'normal' in a sense, and these behaviours are further regulated by cultural standards of what we consider to be moral.
