Definition and Summary

Stripping and striptease are performances, often involving dancing to music, in which people remove their clothes to entertain or sexually arouse those watching. Variations on striptease include lap dancing and contact dancing, table dancing and couch dancing. Erotic stripping for payment originates from ancient civilizations, although male stripping has only become common in recent decades. The Full Monty and several other mainstream movies have increased acceptance for stripping.
Sexual performances also include sex shows and auto-erotic performances which involve the public performance of sexual acts and peep shows which involve viewing the sexual acts in private cubicles.
