To speak of God the Holy Spirit, in Christianity, is to speak of the third person of the Holy Trinity. He is the one who enlightens men and women with the light of truth whenever the seeking is kindled with the fire of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who allows a person to understand the Holy Scriptures when read with an open heart. He is the one who gives the gifts and fruits that allow men and women to live saintly lives. The Holy Spirit is the person of the Holy Trinity who caused Jesus to be incarnated in Mary’s womb. He is also the one who caused Mary, the Mother of God, to be born without sin.
