[ history ]

Secular Humanism is the same life philosophy which stresses the importance of people, and their responsibility to protect and improve our society with a non-religious emphasis. Human rather than religious values are advocated. Secular Humanists believe that you can not put humanity first when religion is involved. Many Secular Humanists dismiss Religious Humanism as a contradiction.

By definition secular humanists are non-religious, which can include atheists, agnostics, and other freethinkers.
