 Land mines are normally classified in two groups; Anti-personell (AP) and anti-vehicle (AW / AT) mines.
The main difference between AP and AW mines is the amount of explosives and size of the ordonance. Most AW mines also need a much higher pressure or impact to detonate than the AP equalients.
