Overview

Gay is a term used to describe a man who is physically and emotionally attracted to men rather than women. A gay man is by definition, one whom practices homosexuality; and thus has a sexual attraction to persons of the same sex. Homosexuality has existed for thousands of years, and has been traditionally viewed with strong negative regard. In recent years it has been the subject of much controversy, however, acceptance of homosexual practices is growing.
