Description

Hydrogen is one of the most abundant elements on the Earth. Hydrogen is a gas that is neutral, colorless, and odorless. About 90% of all atoms are comprised in part by hydrogen.

Hydrogen is derives from the Greek Hydros genes which means "water forming." It was discovered by Henry Cavendish of London, England in 1766.

Hydrogen at room temperature is a diatomic element, which means that it's atoms are grouped in pairs. In chemistry terminology, hydrogen is never written as "H" but as "H2"
