Whitemans-Mangaroa Valley is a valley to the east of Hutt Valley, with the Mangaroa River running through it. Horse trekking is a popular way of exploring the surrounding hills and the amazing scenery it offers. The Woodcote Garden and Cafe, Alchemy Rural Day Spa and the Follyfoot Farm are popular local attractions. To the south-east is the Rimutaka State Forest and the Rimutaka Ranges and the foothills stretch out to the valley.
