Hutt City, or Lower Hutt as it is otherwise known, is the ninth largest city in New Zealand. Winding through the city is the blue Hutt River. In the city's centre is Westfield Shoppingtown Queensgate and a variety of specialist shops in the surrounding central business district.
Among the activities and attractions offered to visitors is the Dowse Art Museum and Living Art Studios, indoor rock climbing facilities and seven golf courses. Boulcott and Hutt Golf Courses complement the Belmont Domain and Avalon Park along the Hutt River.
