Days Bay is at the northern point of the coastal settlement of Eastbourne. It is known as one of Wellington's best beaches and was the inspiration for some of Katherine Mansfield's best stories.
William's Park, opposite Days Bay wharf, is a popular picnic spot is is used by many beach-goers who arrive by the Dominion Post East to West Ferry from Wellington.
