The area has bred some of Australasia's most successful racing and equestrian horses represented by a Melbourne Cup wins and an Olympic Gold Medal for Mark Todd in recent years alone. The nearby Lake Karapiro provides a national based for rowing.

Description

Cambridge is a horse-breeding and agricultural centre, named in memory of Prince George's appointment as Second Duke of Cambridge in 1850. The old trees, churches and village green make this town seem like a place in Britain.
