Doubtless Bay is situated on the eastern coast of the Far North of New Zealand. It is home to several beaches, including Cable Bay and Coopers Beach. Historically, Doubtless Bay is said to be the first landing place of Kupe, a Polynesian explorer, as well as being settled by European whalers.
The area offers a variety of water-based activities to visitors, including surfcasting, kayaking and surfing. As with Ninety Mile Beach on the western coast, Doubtless Bay is home to the tuatua shellfish.
