Overview

Kaiteriteri is a beach south of Marahau and north of Motueka. It is a popular holiday destination during summer months and also has some interesting history. Firstly, it was considered for the site of Nelson City. Secondly, at the northern Marahau end of the beach is an old Mäori fortified lookout at Kaka Point. One of the main attractions of the beach is the golden beaches. There is extensive accomadation as well as playgrounds and safe swimming.
