Overview

The Abel Tasman National Park was named after the Dutch navigator of the same name who was the first European to sight New Zealand. It can be explored by foot, on the Coastl Track, with the Department of Conservation lodge accommadation available along the track. It can also be explored from the water by sea kayak, water taxi or yacht.
