Description

Pukehou is a farming locality based around the historic Maori Anglican school founded by missionary Samuel Williams in 1853. The oldest church in the Hawkes Bay region, Christ Church was built there in 1859. The cottage garden formed in 1988 has at least 1000 heritage roses.
