Overview

Danseys Pass is located on the northern side of the Kakanui Mountains. It is an alternative route to State Highway 95 from Oamaru to Ranfurly.

Danseys Pass North is the eastern end of the Danseys Pass and is part of the Waitaki District. It is rich in gold-mining history and boasts mild winters with high levels of sunshine.

The Danseys Pass is named after an explorer named William Dansey.
