Biography

Bonner, Neville Thomas (1922 - 1999) was the first indigenous (aboriginal) member of the Federal Parliament. He was born on Ukerebagh Island, off the South Coast of Queensland. He represented Queensland in the Senate from 1971 to 1983 as a member of the Liberal Party.
