Overview

No visas are required for entry into Zimbabwe, but an International Driver's Permit is desirable for driving in the country. It is usually suggested that travelers have inoculations before travelling to Zimbabwe and the water may be unsafe to drink. Victoria Falls and the Hwange National Park are popular tourist attractions in the east and the Great Zimbabwe Ruins to the south-west are also popular among tourists.

Hunting Safaris

Tourists who wish to hunt in Zimbabwe must be accompanied by a licensed operator, who is required to be registered and licensed by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Travelers to Zimbabwe should ask for the operator’s license number when booking a hunt and should check the authenticity of the license by contacting the Zimbabwe Association of Tour and Safari Operators (ZATSO) at: pangeti@zct.co.zw or bown@zct.co.zw. Consideration of firearms restrictions is also suggested by the US Department of State.
