Rules and Guidelines

The United States Federal Government suggests people should bring along a trash bag so that they can deposit it in the proper trash receptacle and avoid littering.

It is strongly suggested that people should have the correct tires on their vehicle for the type of terrain/byway that they will be driving on. Snowchains should be taken off when the are no longer needed to prevent road damage.

The United States Federal Government suggests drivers obey the posted speedlimits, wear their seatbelt, bring along extra safety items such as water, flashlights, maps, and a cellphone or radio and do not drive on unauthorized trails. Driving in areas where vehicles are not permitted or areas that have been declared "off limits" to vehicles can be unsafe and can damage or harm wildlife and vegetation.
