Cirl Scouts of Central Maryland is one of the 318 councils of GSUSA, and one of four that serves Girl Scouts in Maryland. GSCM's jurisdiction includes Baltimore City and five counties - Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard. In 2001 Girl Scouts of Central Maryland registered 28,906 girls and 9,116 adults throughout the central Maryland region. This was a 2.1% increase from 2000 when we registered 28,257 girls and 8,618 adults. Girl Scouting serves girls from all racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds. Our mission is simple, to inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service that they may become happy, resourceful citizens.
