General Information

The Oriental Shorthair is a sister breed to the Colorpoint Shorthair and offspring breed of the Siamese. The still somewhat rare Oriental Longhair is its long-haired variant coming in all of the same colors as its shorthaired sibling.

Colors

The Oriental Shorthair may occur in any color and in any pattern excluding any point-restricted pattern (such as the Siamese or Colorpoint Shorthair). They may be solid; bi-color (a base color of white with patches of color over the body, either solid or patterned): smoke or shaded; classic, mackerel, or tabby patterned; or parti-colored.
