General information
The Bengal breed originated as a human-made hybrid of the wild Asian leopard cat (ALC) and the domestic cat in the 1960's. The Asian leopard cat also known as (Felis bengalensis) is a small forest dwelling inhabitant that looks very much like a miniature leopard.
List of breeds used to develop the Bengal: Abyssinian, Burmese, Egyptian Mau, or Siamese as well as domestics.
The Bengal is recognized by several registries such as T.I.C.A., I.C.E., and A.C.F.A. as well as various breed organizations.

Brown Spotted - Light brown background with spotted pattern can be solid black, brown spots, or rosettes.
(Rosettes are multi colored spots). Eyes can be gold, green to brown in color.
Brown Marble - Light brown background with marbleized pattern. Eyes can be gold in color, or green to brown.
Seal Sepia Spotted - Light cream colored backround with brown/sepia spotted pattern. Eyes can be gold in color, or green to brown.
Seal Sepia Marbled - Light cream background with marbleized pattern. Eyes can be gold in color, or green to brown.
Seal Mink Spotted - Light cream background with brown/sepia tone spotted pattern. Eyes can be aqua or blue green in color.
Seal Mink Marble - Light cream background with brown/sepia tone marbleized pattern. Eyes can be aqua or blue green in color.
Seal Lynx Point - Light cream background with brown/sepia tone pattern. Eyes can be blue only. Seal Lynx Point are usually born completely white in color, patterns developing with age.
Black Silver Tabby - Silver background with black pattern. Eyes can be gold in color, or green to brown.
Seal Silver Sepia Tabby - Silver background with black pattern. Eyes can be gold in color, or green to brown.
Seal Silver Mink Tabby - Silver background with black pattern. Eyes can be aqua or blue green in color.
Seal Silver Lynx Point - Silver background with black pattern. Eyes can be blue only.
