First created by a Dutch chemist 300 years ago, Gin was said to have curative effects. People of course, FELT, better in the 1600's. But they became so in love with Gin that they drank liberally, becoming the "Mother's Ruin" and looked down upon by upperclass ranks at that time.

Overview of Gin

Gin is reprocessed and redistilled with a variety of herbs and spices.

Only one brand of Gin is protected by a worldwide patent. This is Tanqueray Gin, exported to more than 100 international markets. Tanqueray Gin is the best-selling imported gin in the United States.

The first gin and tonic?

Indian Tonic Water came about in the 1700's as a carbonated water that helped to give quinine medicine to British servicemen in India. British officers, finding gin an antidote to the heat of the tropical region, began mixing this tonic with gin.
