Chad

Chad is a country in Africa that used to be part of France. When it became independent from France in 1960 there was many wars between different cultures. The country was also invaded by another country called Libya. There was peace after 1990 when the government started to do many things that were good and nice to the people. In 1998 some people in the north of the country started to rebel. Although people have tried to change the government, it is still controled by people in the north.

Independent since: Chad has been independent since 11 August 1960.
Currency: The Franc is the currency of Chad.
