A year is 365 days. It is the time the Earth takes to travel around the sun.
During a year there are four seasons, which each have different weather. The seasons are winter, spring, summer and autumn (which is sometimes called "fall").
Every year you get a year older and you have a birthday. A centenary is the hundredth birthday or anniversary of something.

A week is a period of time of seven days. Weeks are usually the period of seven days from one Sunday to the next Saturday. In most countries, grown-ups work and children go to school from Monday to Friday and take Saturday and Sunday off for the weekend.
