Linguistic Anthropology

Linguistic anthropology is the study of language. These scientists study how language or verbal communication has developed over time. Scientists believe that people didn't always talk to communicate. At first they may have just made grunting sounds and pointed almost like babies do.

Linguistic anthropologists also study how modern languages have developed and how they differ all over the world today.
