You need lots of proteins to make yourself strong and healthy. If you want to have big muscles or be good at sports, then you need plenty of foods with protein in them.

Chicken, eggs, pumpkin, beans, fish, milk, cheese and nuts have lots of proteins, but you should be careful not to eat too many eggs. Ask a grown-up if you are getting enough protein in the foods you eat.

Fats

You need fats to give us energy like carbohydrates and to provide you with a layer to protect you from the cold. If you have too many fats you’ll get very big, but some fat is very important to stay healthy.

There are fats in cakes, cheeses, chocolates, candy, bacon, butter and fizzy drinks. Grown-ups can get fats from drinking beer, but too much can be very dangerous and unhealthy because it contains a drug called alcohol that slows down their brains.
