Setting Up

To play musical chairs, you need to put some chairs together in the middle of a large open room. Count how many people are playing. There needs to be one chair less that the number of people playing. For example, if 10 people are playing, set up nine chairs.

Once the chairs are ready, get some music and a CD player (or something similar).

How to Play

Somebody that isn't playing (like an adult) needs to be in charge of the music. When the music turns on, everyone needs to walk around the chairs in the middle of the room. When the music stops, everyone needs to try and sit in a chair as quickly as they can. The person who doesn't have a chair to sit in is out of the game. Another chair is taken away, and then the music starts again. This keeps happening until there is only one person left - they are the winner!
