Introduction

In Doshin the Giant, you take control of a large yellow giant called Doshin the Love-Giant. At the beginning of the day, he rises from the water by an island. You have to make him bigger, by absorbing the emotions of the villagers. It doesn't matter if he absorbs love or hate!

To get villagers to give out love, you have to help them build their village and make their monuments. If you want them to hate you, you have to turn into Jashin the Hate-Giant, who is red and evil. Jashin can destroy villages and make the villagers mad.

Doshin can only do peaceful things, but Jashin can only destroy.

Official Story

This is the story of Doshin the Giant which can be found in the instruction booklet:

This is Barudo-Island. A tropical island that you won't find on any map. On this island there is an ancient legend from long ago.

The legend is of a Giant that appears from nowhere.

This mysterious Giant appears on the horizon at dawn and then just as mysteriously disappears at sunset. However the next morning he appears again.

There are many other mysterious things about the Giant. The strangest of all is that he grows bigger and bigger by absorbing the love and hate emotions of the islanders.
