Landschaft

Das nördliche Hochland (Plateau) liegt am Nordwestrand des Viktoriasees. Im Südwesten an der Grenze nach Ruanda liegen die vulkanischen Virunga Berge. Im Bereich des Viktoriasees befinden sich tropische Wälder, zum Landesinneren bedecken Grasssavannen die Landschaft.
