Geographie

Die Inselgruppe ist vulkanischen Ursprungs, die größte Insel ist Sao Tome mit 859 km² und dem größten Berg dem Pico de Sao Tomé. Die Inseln sind bedeckt mit dichtem Regen- und Bergwald.

Geographische Lage: 6º - 7ºO / 0º - 2ºN
Höchste Erhebung: Pico de Sao Tomé 2,024 m und Pico Kabumbé 1,403 m.
