Das Betriebssystem ist die Basis Software eines jeden Computers. Jedes Betriebssystem stellt eine graphische Oberfläche zur Verfügung mit deren Benutzung man auf einfache Art und Weise weitere Programme aufrufen kann. Die wohl bekanntesten Betriebssysteme sind Windows, Linux, Unix, OS2 und BSD.
