1.5lb of fatless meat or 2 cans of kidney beans
1 14oz can tomatoes
1 onion - sliced long & thin
2 tbs tomato puree
2 tbs fresh lemon/lime juice
0.5 cup corn/mustard oil
4 dried red chillies
0.5 tsp chilli powder (cayenne pepper)
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tsp turmeric
2 white cardamoms
1 desert spoon garam masala
1 desert spoon fenugreek leaves

1. Fry meat in oil to seal it - then drain
2. Using same oil, fry onion until golden brown then add spices 1 and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add tinned tomatoes and puree - mix well. Cook for another 10 minutes.
3. Put the above mix in a casserole dish in a pre-heated oven at 220 centigrade for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally during this time and add water if necessary.
4. Add lemon/lime juice and spices 2 and simmer for 10 minutes.
