Thoma-Zeiss Counting Cell

  • Carl Zeiss, German optician, 1816-1888 and Richard Thoma.
    Glass receptacle at bottom of a microscope slide with the bottom divided into minute squares. The squares enable counting of white and red corpuscles in blood. (It is also known as Abbe-Zeiss Counting Cell).
