Incidence

Incidence is the number of new cases of a condition that occur in a population during a measured amount of time. Could be a year, month or some other defined period.

Prevalence

Prevalence is the total number of existing cases of a condition in a specific population at a stated point in time. At a certain point in time, there are a specific number of people with a defined condition.
