Hypnotherapy dictionary

Authoritarian or direct hypnosis: To influence the subconsciousness directly with positive suggestions. Opposite permissive or indirect hypnosis.

Hypnoanalysis: Analysis for the more deeper lying reasons to a problem.

Hypnotist: A person who uses hypnosis to influence the mind.

Hypnotherapy: Therapy during hypnosis.

Hypnosis: State of concentrated attention.

Regression: To be drawn back to earlier conditions.

Suggestion: A positive suggestion, placed in the person's subconscious mind by the hypnotist or the hypnotherapist.

Permissive hypnosis: Permissive hypnosis is a dialogue with the subconscious mind.

Trance: Condition that could be compared to that of daydreaming. Exploited by the hypnotherapist to place a suggestion outside the conscious mind's knowledge.

The subconsciousness: All what is hidden from the consciousness, about 90%
