The Giant

The player controls the Giant who appears on Barudo-Island at dawn, and vanishes at dusk. He grows larger either by absorbing the villagers' love emotions, or by absorbing the villagers' hate emotions. He can transform himself between two different forms (which each have different characteristics): the Love-Giant (Doshin), or the Hate-Giant (Jashin).


Islanders

The inhabitants of Barudo-Island. Depending on how the Giant behaves, they will either love him, or hate him. These emotions affect the growth of the Giant.


Sodoru

Sodoru is an observer of historic events, and acts as the player's guide to the game. He normally gives the player gameplay advice when new events occur.
