Overview

Myst is a graphical adventure game and the first part of a popular trilogy, which also includes Riven and Exile. In this game, the player is first greeted by Atrus, who is seeking to free his wife Catherine. His sons, Sirrus and Achenar, are each trapped in a book, who the player must collect pages for. Each brother implores the player to believe his side of the story and to free him from his book. The player then travels through five different Ages: Channelwood, Mechanical, Selenitic, Stoneship, and Myst Island itself, to collect pages of the two books, as well as other clues to the mystery that surrounds Myst Island.

The game is made for PC and MacIntosh, with versions also available for Sega Genesis and Sony Playstation, and features very detailed, 3D graphics.
