This Spider-Man adventure was released at the same time as the PlayStation Spider-Man title. While the two games share the same box art, they are, for the most part, completely unrelated other than that. The only remaining similarity is that the last three boss fights in both games feature the same characters.
Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six is the sequel to this game.

It seems that some of Spider-Man's enemies are attacking each other these days, and of course it falls to the webhead to clean up the mess by defeating all of them. In the process, Spider-Man has to track them down across the city.
