Statue is a children's game which can be played by a group of any number of people.
- One person, perhaps an adult supervisor for young children, situates themselves at one end of a room or area. This person is the grandmother. All other players stand behind a starting line around 10-20 metres away from the grandmother.
- The grandmother will start off the game with a signal, such as shouting "Go!" or something similar. All other players must race to tag the grandmother.
- However, at several random times during the game, the grandmother may turn around. Anyone the grandmother spots moving is out of the game.
- The winner is the first to tag the grandmother or the last player remaining. The winner will usually become the new grandmother.
